Who needs twitter? As if sms text messaging with mobiles wasn't bad enough? Or is it that the whole world has gone crazy, and will lap up any 'cool new app' just for the heck of it? Is there one human being on this planet, who, despite having a laptop and/or a good mobile phone, and constant messaging and email facility at hand, still 'cannot do' without something as utterly witless and non-new as twitter?

True true. Definitely overhyped and practically useless. I joined the site a couple of weeks back to see what the hype was all about. Haven't been able to figure out why I would like to write or read inane stuff like "Obama was just seen ogling in Paris chk youtube" or "RIP MJ" and so on. That too in 140 characters. I guess seeing one complete English word per "twitter" would be a revelation!
Read somewhere that self proclaimed "diva" Mallika Sherawat is being seen as a Twitter icon and even graced Twitter headquarters recently. Well need we say more?
Humans go bird-brained!Typical of generation fed on abbreviations, short messaging, and attention span of a few moments.Reading longer sentences,or just reading is likely to move out. We are not too far from a world where education would be by service providers through signals writing into the brain tissue.
