Facebook 'discovery'

A 'scientific study' recently conducted in the US has 'discovered' that people who are insecure in their relationships are more actively engaged on Facebook - frequently posting on walls, commenting, updating their status or 'liking' something - in hopes of getting attention. (The Hindu, Kolkata edition, Feb. 16, p.5)

I frankly had the same reaction when I read the news in The Economic Times! I speak from experience, and after being a Facebook addict for 4 years, I finally realised that there are more, better, worthwhile ways to stay connected, happy and 'informed' about happenings in my friend circle! The realisation came a bit late though, I admit.
