Powerless in Washington, D.C.

Read this. In the capital city of the world's most powerful nation, citizens are beginning to find out what misery means, misery of a sort that virtually all Indians are only too familiar with.

Dear Suvro da,

You will be seeing more of this in the coming months and years. By one estimate, 673 billion USD is required to harden the privately owned power grid in America. Political gridlock in Washington has ensured that investment in vital infrastructure does not materialize when needed. Soon blackouts and 'load shedding' will be the rule and not a one off exception in the land of opportunity.
